"My novel focuses on teenager Clinton Ray, also known as Black, who is forced to run away from home, and must learn too early how to navigate his own way through the underbelly of urban life," explains Q.B. Wells, the book's author. "Black joins forces with his newfound friends: Face, Penny and Zero, and together they go off in search of the American dream which ultimately evolves into a journey of self discovery as Black struggles to survive the mean streets of Chicago without giving up on his dreams."
