I'M STILL HERE

You beat whipped and put me in chains
Still I was able to survive your pain
You gave me a name, just like a dog
You changed my diet and fed me the hog
You sold my children and raped my queen
You are the devil, so callous and mean
You ignore my place and deny my time
You steal inventions that are mine
But I'm still here and holding on
Yes still here, too Black too strong
You made my momma your nanny and maid
She worked to the bone and never was paid
Oh yes you are the great pretender
The things you've done, I'll always remember
For my people, you conjured up AIDS
You sit and watch as it invades
But we're still here, that ain't no lie
We won't die, we'll multiply
You fear genetic annihilation
You fear the thought of a strong Black nation
Inferior is what you call my skin
But truth always wins in the end
You may be slick, cunning and cleaver
But there is no lie that lives forever
Wherever you go, whatever you do
My Creator will be watching you
Come right on with your next little plan
For it is you standing out in the quicksand
I'm still here and will always be
Remember, the planet earth began with me

Every woman who never knew daddy
longs for him deep down inside

Men will wish him a slow death
