                      Author Biography

Wright, a 6'7", 250 pound hunk may look the part of a heart breaker, but the quiet spoken, former professional basketball star, actually considered being a theologian and thought he'd be writing spiritual books. Wright was accepted to the University of Iowa's Masters program in religion after receiving his BA degree in Communications. Although the perennial All-Star was drafted by the Detroit Pistons of the NBA, he chose to serve in the military before pursuing a professional basketball career. As a Navy lieutenant, Wright served as an instructor at the U.S. Naval Academy and later as a naval aviator. After the military he turned to professional basketball in Europe. The 3-time European All-Star worked in the off-season as an exercise specialist in Germany, before posting-up in the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia as the personal trainer to the Royal family.

But it was in Germany that a friend asked his opinion on how to sustain a relationship. Even though Wright and the lovesick German had drawn from different experiences, the tips that he jotted down on paper for his friend saved the day. Wright began penning Straight Talk as he trekked through Europe. However, the United States offered home court advantage to publish the book, which has already been translated in German, and soon Spanish.

During his travels, Wright has lived and six different countries including Peru, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Sweden. He met and married his wife, whom he affectionately calls his "Spanish Fly," in Spain. The multilingual Wright must translate the chapters of his book into Spanish for his wife. When he does so, he says "she hangs onto every word as if I have something very important to say," he laughs, but the readers of Straight Talk agree!

Book Description
Unlike books like MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS, this book deals with the real world and gives men the proven word on what it takes to love a woman down; emotionally, spiritually and physically. With no subject being off limits, or out-of-bounds, Straight Talk boldly examines the causes of female infidelity; why most women consider most men to be lousy lovers; why men struggle between commitment and playing-the-field; and what men must do to keep a woman emotionally and sexually satisfied!

Gerry Wright is the author of this new book with the tough, but long awaited message aimed at men who need to "get their head in the game," the love game that is. Although this book was written exclusively for men, it's receiving outstanding praise from men and women alike. Straight Talk up-lifts women and wittingly coaches men to be fit-for-love. Women have waited years for a man to finally step-up and make other men with a "man's man" mentality towards women, re-think their position. Straight Talk is a 3-alarm wake-up call for the fellas and the initial reaction to the book has been overwhelming.

Women of all ages have been buying Straight Talk for their men, feeling confident that it will get them the love, respect and attention they deserve. After receiving several moving testimonials from satisfied readers (men and women), Wright says he knows his book is right on time! The recent trend over the past year has seen men shifting their attitude away from the traditional "man's man" mentality, to one that's more considerate of their women. This theme has even caught on in Hollywood and has led to the success of such films as, What Women Want with Mel Gibson and The Family Man with Nicolas Cage.

However, as Wright points out in his new book; in the real world guys know more about "Playing The Field," than "Playing For Keeps!" Therefore, unlike books like Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, this book deals with the real world and gives men the truth on what it takes to love a woman down; emotionally, spiritually and sexually!
